Safe. Relaxation.  Re-discovery.  Renewal.  Office.

A one tank get-away: Mason is close and yet feels a world away. Disconnect, slow your pace and seek rest. Sit in one of the four cast iron tubs cocooned with cushions and awe at the stars. Breathe the clean air and soak in the quietness of our small town.  Travel is becoming more meaningful.

You are still connected with Fiber Optic WiFi, cable tv, and a full kitchen.

So Saddle up your vehicle and follow the trail to the Covered Wagon.  This one-room suite with a private entrance and front porch was created to reflect early Mason County in the 1860s.  Born and raised in a metropolitan Texas city, I understand why city slickers need to occasionally leave the hustle and bustle behind and relax in a world away from their reality.  Come experience the Romance of the West...sleep on a queen size mattress that is cocooned around authentic parts of a real covered wagon.

The Covered Wagon was created in a spirit of wellness, comfort, and a sense of the heritage and appreciation of early Texas Pioneers.  Like these early travelers and settlers, we respect our environment and therefore the guestroom is cleaned with non-toxic products.

Earth tones surround you, creating a sense of tranquility. No pictures are on the wall…but a subtle painting of the horizon where sky meets the earth. The rug covered concrete floor has been faux painted to resemble the bare earth.

What an amazing place for a well needed mini-vacation!

Check out the Mason Chamber of Commerce .  Wine sipping, shopping for antiques, Fort Mason, Seaquist House, sitting on the front porch or laying in the cushioned claw footed tubs to gaze at the moon and stars!  There is plenty of off-street parking and you are encouraged to walk around the property.

Office Away:  Working at home or home school, we have Fiber Optic Wifi.  Call for the highest Mbps.  A full kitchen ready for that early morning coffee or to warm up food in the middle of the night.  A continental breakfast will be set up before your arrival.
